Year 6 took full advantage of Monday's blustery weather when using wind turbines to investigate factors affecting electricity production.
From their experiments they discovered that 12 blades were not better than six and that the angle of the blade had a large impact on the speed of the turbine and therefore the voltage produced. This was the final unit of the topic of electricity.
Next half term Year 6 will start work on micro organisms. To support this project, we hope girls will make some bread from scratch over half term and bring in a photograph to share.
