Swimmers Make ESSA Primary School Finals!

A team of Year 5 and 6 girls travelled to Warwick to compete in the ESSA Primary School Relay heats. There are a number of categories so there were mixed teams of boys and girls, girls, and boys. We entered an A and B team made up of Year 5 and 6.
The girls had a quick warm up and we were in races 3 and 4. Both relays were won by our girls however, ESSA is decided on times, not positions. The Prep girls did amazingly well in all their races.
We were delighted that the A Team qualified first on the day to go to the National Final at Ponds Forge in June! Not only for the Freestyle relay but the Medley also. We are waiting with bated breath as to whether the B team also qualify. We will now be working very hard on our starts and finishes and overall race speed before June!
